    Estate of David Putnam

    Examine & Adjust the Claims of the Creditors to said Estate as the law directs St Albans Sept 10th 1821 Loty Putnam
    Whereupon the Court Decree that Commissioners be appointed on said Estate Agreeable to the Request of the Administratrix Therefore the Court do hereby Constitute & Appoint Joel Barber Jr & Young Blair both of Georgia aforesaid Commissioners to Receive Examine Adjust & allow the Claims of the Several Creditors to Estate of the said Deceased & the Court do Decree that the said Commissioners be under oath for the faithfull Discharge of their said Trust & it is also Decreed that the said Commissioners fix on the times & plans they will ??? to attend to the ??? of their said appointment & Notify the Creditors to said Estate thereof by Publishing the Same in the Northern Sentinel Printed at Burlington three Weeks ??? & by Posting up Notification therof in the Towns of Georgia & St Albans in said District
    And it is also Decreed that the said Creditors be allowed Six Months from the Date hereof to Exhibit & prove their Claims at the End of which time the said Commissioners are directed to make Report & Return to this Court a list of all the Claims that Shall have been laid before them with the sums by them allowed or Disallowed on Each Claim & it is also Decreed that the said Commissioner State in said Report the manner in which they Notified the sd Creditors Whereupon the Court Decree that a Commission of Insolvency - ??? to the Commissioners - which is ??? accordingly

    Greeting you are hereby appointed a Committee to make appraisal of all the Estate both Real & Personal of David Putnam late of Georgia in said District Deceased to be Shown unto you by Loty Putnam Administratrix of the Deceased you are to be Under Oath for the faithfull Discharge of your trust & when the appraisal shall be made you are to make two attested Copies & Deliver them to the Administratrix together with this Warrant with a Return of your doings thereon In Testimony Whereof I have caused the Seal of the said Court of Probate to be hereto affixed Given Under my hand at St Albans the 10th day of September AD 1821 Seth Witman Judge

    By the Hon Seth Witman Esqr Judge of the Court of Probate for the District of Georgia To Joel Barber Jr & Young Blair both of Georgia in said District Greeting -
    Whereas Loty Putnam Administratrix on the Estate of David Putnam late of Georgia in the County of Franklin Deceased hath Represented to me that the said Estate is Insolvent & Insuffitiant to pay all the Just debts which the Deceased accrued, I do therefore hereby Nominate & appoint you to be Commissioners with full Power to Receive & Examine all the Claims of the Several Creditors to the said Estate having first Caused the times when & plans where you will meet to attend to the Business of your appointment to be made known by Advertising the same three weeks Successively in the Northern Sentinal printed at Burlington & by Notifications posted up in some Public place in the Towns of Georgia & St Albans & Six Months are allowed Unto the said Creditors for Bringing in & proving their Claims at the End of which time you are to make Report & present unto me upon oath a list of all the Claims that Shall have been laid before you with the sums you shall allow on Each Claim to the End that distribution may be made of the said Estate to & among the Creditors agreeable to law

    Know ye that Loty Putnam Administratrix on the Estate of David Putnam late of Georgia in said District Deceased having fully Administered upon all the Estate of the said Deceased that has come into her hands agreeable to the Inventory thereof Recorded in this office & accounted for the same according to law She is therefore from henceforth acquitted for the same.
