Lorraine Ann Shambo, 51, of Cherry Avenue, Aurora died unexpectedly Monday January 14, 1991 of injuries sustained in a fire at her residence.

Miss Shambo was born in the town of Scipio, the daughter of the late Leo L. and Bessie Temple Mapstone Shambo and lived in Aurora most of her life. She was employed at Wells College for 21 years and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Surviving are two nieces, Ms. Janet Mapstone of Aurora and Mrs. George(Nancy)Yann of Aurora, one nephew Daniel Mapstone of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; two great-nephews, Christian and Jeremy Yann of Aurora; four aunts, Mrs. Agnes Flynn of Auburn, Miss Mae Shambo of Auburn, Sr. Agnes Paula S.S.J. of Waterloo, Miss Grace Temple of Levanna; one uncle, Lloyd Temple of Levanna.

Funeral services will be at 2:00p.m. Thursday January 17 in St. Patrick's Church, Aurora where a mass of christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul J. Ryan, the pastor. Internment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Aurora, in the spring. Friends are invited to call at the Shakelton Funeral Home, Main St., Aurora from 7 to 9p.m. Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department, Aurora, NY 13020 or to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, York, St., Auburn, NY 13021 in memory of Miss Shambo.
