Sep 2000 email from Daniel Brodowski ([email protected]) forwarded a message he received from Bette J. Henneke, 605 E. Reuss Blvd., Cuero, TX 77954 regarding information on Lorenzo Dow Risdon, must of which i have added to me reocrds without further documentation at this time. The hardcopy is in the file of Daniel Braught and Eliz. Sayre. In summary, it states that the Risdon family came to this country from West Country, Devonshire, England to Plymouth, MASS. headed by Robert Risdon, a mariner who settled in Boston with his wife, Beatrice and three children. They moved to Stratford, CT. area at the outbreak of the Rev. war and a book by Edna Risdon Neary (Risdon, Maudlin, and Other Families of Stratford, CT.) provides much early family history. Among that data is information that Lorenzo was born 3 Sep 1832 at Steubenville, OH and died 1895 at Cassville, Barry County, MO. He married about 1860 at Clinton, Iowa to Helen Louisa Rundall. She was born 20 Feb. 1844 at Delaware Co., OH and died 8 Oct 1922 at Cassville, MO. They had 8 children ( some listed in the note, including a grandson named Lorenzo D. Risdon) At various times some of the family lived in Indiana, Kansas, and California. Inglewood Cemetery of Los Angeles has several family graves.
