[edit] ObituaryLois Irene Zirkle, 82, of rural Venedocia, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at her residence. She was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Middle Point, to Clarence and Elizabeth (Mapes) Ringwald. On March 28, 1943, she married James C. ?Jim? Zirkle, who survives. Other survivors include three children, Jane E. (Bob) Zuber of Spencerville, Richard M. ?Dick? Zirkle of Van Wert and Beth Ann (Richard) Clement of rural Venedocia; three sisters, Edith Kundert of Delphos, Helen (John) Stutz of Venedocia and Mary Lou Butler of Van Wert; two brothers, Bill (Della) Ringwald of Fort Meade, Fla., and Clarence Ringwald of Van Wert; two sisters-in-law, Juanita Ringwald of Van Wert and Virginia Ringwald of Delano, Minn.; six grandchildren, Jody (Teresa) Zuber of Littleton, Colo., Denise (Jim) Davis of Van Wert, Billy (Joe) Brenneman of Spencerville, Steven (Angie) Zirkle of New Bremen, Brian (Gina) Clement of Augusta, Ga., and Kimberly (Paul) Sadler of Delphos; 12 great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Ralph Ringwald; and a great-grandchild. Mrs. Zirkle worked with her husband on the family farms. She was a 1940 graduate of Middle Point High School and was a member of Middle Point Presbyterian Church, where she was baptized at the age of 4 and was later a member of the Women?s Association. She was also a member of the Van Wert Farm Bureau. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. Her nephew, Glenn Hux, will officiate. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery, near Converse. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Delphos Visiting Nurses and Hospice. References
