  4. She drowned as a child, in Orchard Lake. Her parents were having a special dinner for many doctors for the opening of their clinic where the motto was to be "no cure no charge" and the girl assigned to be watching Lois left the party and went home, leaving her unattended.
  5. "Fall From Boat Cost's Girl's Life- PONTIAC, Mich., June 10- a 7-year-old child, playing alone in a rowboat, lost her life Sunday afternoon in Pine Lake. She was Lois Ericsen, daughter of Mr and Mrs A.R. Ericksen, who live at Farminton and the Third Mile Roads. The father is a Redford chiropractor, and the family was spending the week-end at Greenbrier Health Club, on the north shore of the lake. The club is composed of members of his profession. Lois apparently fell from the boat, which was tied up near shore. Her body was found in shallow water by Allen Malcolmson, a lake resident, as he rowed to shore. Lois had been missing 30 minutes."
