Lois M. Barrett

Lois M. Barrett, 70, of Roscoe, Ill., formerly of Dubuque, died at 8:30 pm Sunday, June 6, 1993, at home.

Services will be at 10 am Thursday at Sunset Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, both in Rockford, Ill. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home, where there will be a rosary at 8:30 pm.

Mrs. Barrett worked as a superintendent for Mercy Medical Center.

She was born on Aug. 30, 1922, in Dubuque, daughter of Charles and Mable (Rawson) Correll. She married Leo T. Barrett on May 20, 1943, in Vancouver, Wash.; he survives.

She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, South Beloit, Wis., and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Roscoe. She was an avid bingo player.

Also surviving are three daughters, Pat Close of Roscoe, Kay Roach, of Belvidere, Ill., and Diane Barrett, of Houston; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five brothers, Dave Correll, of Davenport, Iowa, Harry Correll of California, Jack and Charles "Mac" Correll, both of Dubuque, and Ed Correll, of East Dubuque, Ill., and a close friend, Kathy Kaiser, of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by a grandson.
