Logus first appears age 10 in the 1870 Tallapoosa census. Family fits that of John P., father of Argus, if Argus = Logus, and John P. was said to have moved to Tallapoosa County.
There is no further record of Argus after the 1860 census.
There is no record of Logus before 1870.
Other family members seem to have some variation of Logus in their name.
(While stone says b. 1854, that is inconsistent with every census record back to 1870; stone informant would have been his second wife, married late in life; 1859 is more consistent with census records.)
