Facts and Events
Mr Lloyd Watson MoffatS2 passed away quietly on Wednesday, July 27, 1994 while at the Colonel Belcher Hospital in Calgary, after a long and debilitating illness. There is no blessing in Lloyd's passing other than to rationalize that he is no longer suffering, and no longer feeling the deeper pain of being confined to not having his body available. As his illness progressed, so did his need for special care, and Lloyd and Iline moved to Calgary where <names of living individuals have been removed> and family became his physical and moral support. He is survived by his loving wife and companion Iline, <names of living individuals have been removed> and many nieces and nephews. Born in Winnipeg, Man April 24, 1914, Lloyd moved to Souris where he spent his youth and later saw service with the Canadian Navy during Second World War. After discharge in 1945, he became a part of the door and hardware industry, forming his own company, L W Moffat & Associates, and working through out the Prairie provinces as a manufacturer's representative until his retirement in 1982. Lloyds love of music was evident to the end and his greatest pleasure was playing the piano. Always a sportsman, he will be remembered by many of his friends for the fishing from Pye's Landing and as the founding member "Old Dad" of the Royal Provost Hunt Club, May his sights finally rest on eternal peace.
