Lillie Mae Saurdiff, born October 05, 1906 in Warroad, MN; died March 24, 1961 in Thief River Falls, Buried St Marys Cemetery Warrod, MN. She married (1) Frank Streiff February 01, 1923 in Warroad, Mn. She married (2) Lucius A. Knight April 12, 1938 in Grygla, MN; born July 03, 1902 in Kinglsey, MI; died January 22, 1978 in Thief River Falls,.  Notes for Lillie Mae Saurdiff:

After finishing school at Warroad she was employed as a resort & hotel cook on Flag Island, & also spent some time as a nurses aid. Lillie Mae married Frank Streiff when she was only 16. Frank was a good worker, but was also a heavy drinker. They were divorced and she married Luke Knight a few years later. Luke and Lil had a cafe/bar in Grygla MN, when they were first married, then moved to Thief River Falls and lived at 419 N Main Ave, close to downtown. She worked at Peterson Biddick and Luke delivered mail to Goodridge and Grygla and the rural routes to Fourtown, MN. They spent vacations traveling to Michigan where Luke's family lived. Lil enjoyed sewing, knitting, crochet, rug hooking, embroidery. Luke enjoyed fishing & hunting. They never had children, but enjoyed their nieces & nephews.
