BURLINGTON — Mrs.. Lillian Hughey Stockard, 87, of 3844 Heritage Drive, died at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at Twin Lakes Center. A native of Columbia, S.C., she was the wife of the late Mr. Ralph Mebane Stockard, and the daughter of Mr. William Butler Hughey and Mrs.. Katherine H. Hughey, both deceased. She was the first local Superior Court Reporter of Alamance County. Upon retirement, she was the supervisor of the court reporters. She was a member of Graham Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years and was a lifelong member and the past president of the Presbyterian Women. She was a lifelong member of the Battle of Alamance Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a Past Matron. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Dr. William C. Weckerly and the Rev. Lou East. The family will be at the funeral home one hour before the service. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park. The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Grahm from 1 top 2 Friday. |
