ASHTABULA - L. Joseph Crumrine, Jr., 61, passed away January 1, 2019 following a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Painesville, Ohio on November 1, 1957 the son of Lilburn and Reba (Hoffman) Crumrine, Sr.
Joe went to Madison High School and was a member of the class of 1975.
In 1976 Joe very proudly served his country and enlisted in the US Army. He was stationed in Korea for the majority of his active duty.
Joe worked for Molded Fiber Glass for 18 years. His hobbies were fishing, photography and listening to music. Joe was addicted to coffee and chocolate, especially Hershey Kisses and M&M's. For Joe his family was his life.
He is survived by his loving family: His wife and best friend of 20 years Kathy Crumrine; his mother Reba Crumrine; his siblings: David (Darlene) Crumrine, Daniel (Bobbie) Crumrine, Mark Crumrine and Tonya (Jason) Moore; his step-children who he loved as his own: Susan Childress, Tina Jenkins and David Perrine II; 7 step-grandchildren and 7 step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he absolutely adored.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday (01/03/2019) from 6 to 8 pm at the CZUP FUNERAL HOME, 1329 Lake Avenue Ashtabula.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Jones of the Lighthouse Baptist Church officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to his family if so desired, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Burial will take place on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio with full military honors.
