Lewis N. Willman, 94, of Leisure World in Silver Spring died June 14, 2002, at Brooke Grove Nursing Home, Sandy Spring. Mr. Willman was an electrical engineer with the Department of the Navy for about 40 years. He was a member of Woodside Methodist Church, a former president of the Rotary Club of Rossmoor-Aspen Hill and belonged to other local organizations. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. Born Nov. 17, 1907, in Colorado, he was the son of the late Rev. Fred W. Willman and Jean Nicolson Willman. His wife, Virginia Burns Willman, preceded him in death. He is survived by children Barbara E. Roos and husband Carl of Mount Airy; Donald L. Willman and wife Reba of Gaithersburg; grandchildren Patricia Wolf and husband Ron of Frederick; Kevin W. Laird and wife Kathleen of Texas; Robert L. Willman and wife Natalie of Walkersville; Desolee Callis and husband Leland of Martinsburg, W.Va.; Terri Willman of Gaithersburg; Rebecca King and husband Steve of Germantown; and Catherine Willman of Gaithersburg; seven great-grandchildren and friend Betty Warburton of Leisure World. A service was held Monday at the Inter-Faith Chapel, Leisure World, Burial followed at Parklawn Cemetery, Rockville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Inter-Faith Chapel, 3680 S. Leisure World Blvd., Silver Spring, MD 20906. Arrangements were provided by Barber Funeral Home, Laytonsville.
