Obituary in the October 9, 1902 (New Philadelphia Deutsche Beobachter): t ranslation: Dover Correspondent. After a long illness, Louis Spies, o ne of the oldest settlers in Dover township died at 10 o'clock on Sunday e vening after suffering a long time with stomach cancer. The funeral wi ll be Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Pastor Helmkamp will officiate.
