Lewis E. 'Junior" Mayfield, 85, Augusta, retired electrical supervisor for Mobil Oil, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006.
Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. that afternoon at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Junior proudly served his country during World War II with the 11th Armored Division.
He is survived by: his wife, Wanda of the home; son, Jerry (Bette) of Douglass, Kerry (Jaye) of Augusta; daughter, Deeny (Anthony) of Augusta; brother, Jimmy of Independence, Mo.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Faith Home Health Care and Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
