    "FRANKFORT - Lewis Dale Laughner, 69, died at 5:35 PM Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, in Lake Wales Medical Center in Lake Wales, FL. He was born July 11, 1930, in Clinton County and was a lifelong resident of Warren Township, attending Beard School. On June 30, 1950, he married Virginia "Jennie" Ticen in Michigantown; she survives.

    Mr. Laughner worked at Delco for 20 years and was a farmer and semi-truck driver, hauling grain. He served in the Army for two years in Germany during the Korean War and was a member of Frankfort American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and working on cars. He had wintered in Lake Wales, FL, for 20 years.

    Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Lou Ann (Mrs. David) Trost of Noblesville; a son, Dan Laughner (wife Judy) of Williamsport; two brothers, Lawrence Laughner of Forest and Max Laughner of Frankfort; a sister, Ruth Schimmel-Compton of Frankfort; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by eight brothers and one sister.
