note: There are actually two purported burial locations for Lewis K. Klingensmith, and neither appears to be based on any sort of documentary evidence. One of those locations may be correct, but it would need to be confirmed with some documentation. Lewis was a farmer, and a brakeman on the railroad, and was killed in an accident while working on the railroad. It is said he lived in Penn, or Penn Station. Penn would eventually be a borough, and would eventually have a train station, being a stop on PRR main line, but neither during Lewis' time. In fact, Penn Township was founded a little more than five years after his passing, and did not exist when he died. It is a pretty safe bet Lewis K. Klingensmith was born, and died in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. That said, it was a much larger township than it is now, which only makes specific locations that much more important. Research continues.
