Data from Ilene Tracy says his name is spelled Louis Groves, b. 24 Apr. 1833 in Hancock Co., OH married there in 1856, and died 11 Mar 1904. They had children Izora and Estella (who married Joh Collingwood). Sheila Kratzer also reported his birth date as 24 Apr 1833 in Hancock Co., OH See Nov. 2002 report from Deidre Cox (forwarded from Karen somebody) of 1850 Census Hancock Co. OH Blanchard Twp. for family of Thomas and Adaline Groves from VA (age 53 & 50) with ten children: #3=Lewis, age 18 born. OH (all ten children born OH). Very probably this is the correct family, so included in this data without added documentation at present. 1860 OH Hancock Co., Blancahrd Twp. shows Lewis Grove, 27 born OH with Jamima, 21, born OH and Izona E., 3, b. OH. (also there was John Hickman, 20, b. PA). This further suggests these data for this Lewis.
