Lewis BONNETT was born about 1737 in Chester County, Pennsylvania and died on 9 March 1808 in Virginia. He was the son of Jean BONNETT and Anna DEREUX.

He married Anna Elizabeth WAGGONER before December 1772.

Anna Elizabeth WAGGONER was born on 27 March 1749 in Pennsylvania. She was baptized on 24 April 1749 in St. Michael's Evan Lutheran Church in Germantown, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Shortly after her baptism, her mother, Anna Elizabeth [unknown maiden name], died. Her father was Wilhelm WAGGONER. Anna Elizabeth WAGGONER died about 1816 in Virginia. During her lifetime, she went by her middle name of Elizabeth.

After her mother's death, Wilhelm WAGGONER was married to Agnes FLEISCHER. This marriage probably occurred about or before February 1751 as her half brother, Johannes Michael "John" WAGGONER was born on 24 November 1751 in Whitemarsh, Pennsylvania [now a part of Philadelphia]

Anna Elizabeth WAGGONER had two full siblings, Mary WAGGONER and John Peter WAGGONER.

About 1754, her father moved his family from Pennsylvania into Hampshire County, Virginia where he built a fort like home on the South Fork of the Potomac River.

In or about 1764, Lewis BONNETT and his family moved to Wheeling Creek. They then moved to the mouth of Dunkard Creek on the Monongahela. About 1781 they moved back to Wheeling Creek where he spent the rest of his life.

Lewis Bonnet was an Indian Scout and Soldier in the Revolutionary War serving as a Private in the Virginia Line.

Lewis Bonnett Sr born in 1737 in Chester, Pennsylvania and died after November 27 1807 in Ohio County, (West) Virginia. He married Anna Elizabeth Waggoner after 1770 perhaps in the home of Agnes Waggoner Lutts, her step mother. [1]Lewis Bonnett's will was written November 27 1807 in which he names his wife as Elizabeth, two sons and three daughters with the names of the daughters' spouses.[2]
