OLD RESIDENT DIES
Levi Smail, one of the oldest residents of Jeannette, died at his home in South Jeannette, Thursday morning aged 77 years, eight months and 16 days. His death was due to the infirmities of old age. Mr. Smail was the son of Captain John Smail and was born and raised on the old Smail farm, southwest of Jeannette, and has been a resident of the community all his life. His wife died about three years ago. Mr. Smail is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Moore, of Irwin; and five sons, William of Wilkinsburg, Solomon, John, Henry and Samuel, of Jeannette. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at ? o'clock. Interment in Brush Creek cemetery.
