Born March 28, 1910, in Colby, Wis., Levi was a son of the late Henry and Clara Ecke. On June 12, 1943, he married Selma Viola Knight in Curtiss, Wis., where he was a cheese maker. The couple later moved to Junction City, Wis., where he was employed by Bordens Co., for five years. In 1950, they moved to Sheboygan. Levi was employed at Kohler Company for 25 years, retiring in 1975, and was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club. He also had been employed at Sheboygan Paint Co. He is survived by his wife, Selma "Tucker", three daughters, Sheila Ecke, Plymouth; Sharon (James) Kupchick, Mesa, Ariz.; and Sharrol (Tom) Butzen, Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Jody, Jerry, Anna and Erik; a great-granddaughter, Brittany; two sisters, Mildred Voss, Abbotsford, Wis., Verna Dering, Spencer, Wis., and a brother , Harlan (Jeanette) also of Spencer. He is also preceded in death by a daughter. The funeral service for Levi H. Ecke will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Av., where friends may call after 4:30 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. |
