Levi Ball was born on 29 July 1803 at Woodbury, VT; d at age at death 69 years, 1 months, 9 days. He was the son of Ezekiel Ball and Nancy Tilton. Levi Ball married Mary Norcross, daughter of Noah Norcross and Fanny Rollins, on 27 January 1826. Levi Ball married Mary P. Ellis on 3 June 1843. Levi Ball married Betsey E. Hersey, daughter of Nathaniel Stone Hersey and Asenith Slayton, on 11 October 1864. Levi Ball died on 7 September 1872 at East Montpelier, Washington Co., VT, at age 69.

He appeared on the census of 18 September 1850 at Woodbury, Washington Co., VT; "Lewis" age 47, farmer, b. VT, with second wife Mary and children Charles, Cynthia and Martha. He appeared on the census of 30 July 1860 at East Montpelier, Washington Co., VT; Levi, age 56, farmer, born VT, with wife, 2 daughters and Oscar Snow (farm laborer). He appeared on the census of 6 July 1870 at East Montpelier, Washington Co., VT; Levi, age 66, farmer, born VT, with wife Betsy.
