    Leslie P. "Les" Martz, age 65, of Michigan City, died Saturday November 6, 2010, at Porter Memorial Hospital very unexpectedly.
    Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Carlisle Funeral home, Michigan City. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, LaPorte. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday from 4:00-8:00 P.M.

    He was born June 21, 1945 in Greensburg, PA, the son of Daniel J. and Esther E. (Loughner) Martz, both of whom preceded him in death.

    Surviving are his children; Robert Martz, Donald Martz, and Stacey Crum all of Michigan City; grandchildren Nicholas, Andrew and Owen Crum, and Miah Young, all of Michigan City; and sister, Phyllis (Ken) Caldwell of Florida; and former wife Sally M. Eagle. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    Mr. Martz was employed at Arcelor Mittal Steel Co, where he had worked for over 30 years. He most recently was a mechanical millwright.

    Les was known for his hard work ethic. He took great pride working shoulder to shoulder with his co-workers. Les always had time for a cup of coffee to discuss current events. He loved to be with his family.
