Detroit Lakes native LeRoy H. Gorne, 73, of Fremont, Calif., died Thursday, December 25, 2008 in Fremont.
LeRoy Harold Gorne was born March 16, 1935 in Detroit Lakes. He was an assistant transportation engineer with Caltrans for 40 years.
An active member of his church, Stephen's Lutheran Church in Hayward, Calif., LeRoy loved spreading the good news of the gospel.
Surviving LeRoy are his beloved wife of 54 years, Lorraine; children, Janet and Tom Bolla, Jeff, John and Timothy Gorne; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31 at Fremont Chapel of the Roses Mortuary, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, Calif. Interment will follow at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery in Hayward.[2]
