Leota Moritz

Facts and Events
When at the Heartland Nursing Home, I liked to visit Leota Dipman.
Leota went for dialysis treatments three times a week. She was a very sweet lady who endured her pain with little or no complaints.
As she said, "What are you going to do?"
I was talking to her one night, and she seemed to be in good spirits.
I told her my mom had lived alone and how lonely she had been.
Leota said she knew how that felt as she had lost her husband.
Thinking she had been without him for several years, I asked "How long?"
1945, she stated not blinking an eye. She said she was not really alone since she had a son to bring up. "I knew I could do it." she said with a smile on her face.
Adding, "I think I did a good job."
