Florence Janet Margaret IVORY, known as Margaret, married Leonard Almroth Wilson WRIGHT (son of Sir Almroth Wright, FRS, of Coolcarrigan, Co. Kildare) 18dec1925 at Colinton, Midlothian (Times). Wilson Wright (son) was present at a memorial service for Sir Almroth Edward Wright may1947 at London (Times). Almroth E. Wright, bacteriologist and immunologist (10aug1861 Yorks-30apr1947 Farnham, Surrey), was immortalised by G. B. Shaw in the play “The Doctor’s Dilemma” (wikipedia). Sir Almroth Edward Wright (1861-1947) married Jane Georgina Wilson (1860 Belfast-1926) 8jan1889 at Hemel Hempstead; their children were b. in Ireland (ancestry.com, bmd). Almroth was son of Charles Henry Hamilton Wright (1836 Dublin-1909 Wandsworth) and Ebba Johanna Dorothea Almroth (abt 1831 Sweden-1922 Wandsworth) (ancestry, bmd). In 1881 Edwd Wright (1810 Belfast, barrister not practising), son Chas H. (1836 Dublin, DD incumbent St Mary Ch Belfast) were at Dorking, Surrey (census). Leonard was educated at Marlborough and Cambridge (BA 1912). He was High Sheriff, Co. Kildare 1921, and was maybe a barrister of the Inner Temple and JP of Warwickshire in 1941 (ancestry.com). |
