Birth registration and information obtained from Canada. 1902 census for Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon indicates he came to US as an infant (1892) and was naturalized in 1917. First marriage age 22 according to 1920 census. Search for marriage record at Oregon Center for Health Statistics netted no results. Obituarty, "The Oregon Journal", 2 July 1944: Leonard M. Hallock The Multnomah county coroner Saturday turned the body of Leonard M. hallock, Sr. over to J. P. Finley & Son for funeral services. He was electrocuted earlier in the day when he fell acroos a 15,000-volt transformer while working at the Rheem Manufacturing plant. He was an employee of the Williamsen & Bleid company, painters, and had climbed a fence surrounding the transformer, when his foot slipped and he lost his balance. He was born at Port Arthur, Canada, and had lived here 37 years. He was a member of Waverly Lodge No, 174, A. F. and A. M. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Immediate survivors include the wife, Laura, 8027 NE Couch Street; mother, Mrs. Annie Hallock; and these children: Mrs. Dorothy James, Leonard, Jr., Franklin, all of Portland and Herbert, U. S. Army. |
