Personal History

Leonard B Clark was only 2 years old when his mother Sarah died. As an adult he served in the Army Air Force as part of the 333rd Bomb Group (very heavy). He had served 4 years in the Philippines and upon his return to the States he attended a military school in Texas. He then became an Army Air Force instructor. His father David, had come to live with him upon his retirement. Leonard would drive him to his regular appointments at Salt Lake City Hospital. It was on one of there journey's on Feb 1, 1938 when Leonard turned to his father as he hadn't responded to his question and realized, with much shock, that his father had passed away.

Leonard married Pearl Luna Daley, of Utah, 23 Sept, 1942 but their happiness was short lived as just 4 days later on Sept 27, 1942 Leonard was killed in a traffic accident in Kansas. His bride, Pearl was killed 13 months later on Oct 27, 1943 in an accident with a slow moving train at 2nd South and 3rd West in Salt Lake City, Utah.
