Lela was born on 22 Aug 1877 in Montgomery County, Kentucky, United States. [2] Her parents were Robert Joseph Wilson (abt.1851-1903) and Mary Katherine (Scott) Wilson (1855-1937) [3] In 1880 Lela was 3 years old and living in Sharpsburg, Bath County, Kentucky, United States with her parents, 2 sisters and her grandmother. [3] She married Robert W Baugus around 1900 based on the fact that they were listed as husband and wife in the 1910 and they said they had been married 10 years. [4] In 1910 She was living with her husband in Aarons Run, Montgomery County, Kentucky, United States. [4] They were still in Montgomery County in 1920. [5] Robert passed in 1940. [6] She passed away on 25 Dec 1971 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky, United States. [7][2] She was laid to rest beside Robert in the Wilson Graveyard, in Montgomery County, Kentucky. [1][8]
