GREENVILLE -- Lee Roy Vincent, 77, died Sunday afternoon at 1:40 p.m. at his home on Mill Street in Greenville, following several weeks illness. He was born in Muhlenberg County on Oct. 30, 1927, the son of Dillis Vincent and Lorene Stanley Vincent. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a retired employee of the Paradise TVA Steam Plant. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville and he and his wife, Mavis, helped organize the Young at Heart organization. He helped in the literacy group and was a volunteer at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Vincent; and a brother, Athalee Vincent.
