Born in East Penn Township, Carbon County, a son of the late Louis and Louisa (Ohl) Lauchnor, he had been a new Jersey Zinc Co. employee before retiring. The husband of the late Bertha (Vogel) Lauchnor, he was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bowmanstown. Surviving are a daughter, Grace, wife of Nevin Bossard, of Bowmanstown; a sister, Mrs. Mary Leiby, of Newfoundland; and a grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kegel Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
