"Buda" book, p 223, says: He came to Buda when he was 15 years of age and has lived here since. He married Maggie Kinnick, January 1891 and she died in February 1920. He married Ellen Dillman, November 15, 1921 and she died in 1936. He had worked in the railroad shops - followed the carpenter trade and later had a shoe and harness repair shop. He belonged to the I.O.O.F. lodge for 55 years. He was buried in Hopeland Cemetery. No mention of any children from either marriage.
See also, in Bureau Co Report # 4, "Fifth Generation" on Brewer family. It says he was born in Rock Island, IL!
Listed in 1910 census as Baggageman for the Railroad.
Personal note from Russell & Carolyn (her voice) Stroud, Buda, dated April 18, 1996: "I remember Lee Brewer as he ran a Shoe Repair Shop and Candy Store here in Buda when I was a kid."
