SCOTT MEIKS HAS PASSED AWAY Tuberculosis Caused Death Sunday Night After Lingering Illness HOLD FUNERAL WEDNESDAY Mrs. Scott [Lecta E.] Meiks, age thirty-one years, died Sunday night at 10:30 o?clock at her home in Marion township, six miles northeast of Shelbyville. Her death was caused by tuberculosis. Mrs. Meiks had been confined to her bed since September. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hauk, and was born in Shelby county. Mr. Hauk died about two years ago, and Mrs. Hauk had since made her home with her daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Mieks were married on March 7, 1912. Mrs. Meiks was a member of the Little Blue River Baptist church. She is survived by her husband, her mother, one daughter, Marian, three years old, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Creek of Fayette county. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at eleven o?clock at the home, the Rev. O. D. Martin, pastor of the Little Blue River church officiating. Burial will be made in Forest Hill cemetery. Morris H. Sleeth in charge. Friends may call at the home from Tuesday afternoon until the hour of the funeral Wednesday morning.
