Mrs. Leah A. Szacska, 84, of Mahoning Township passed away, Sunday August 27th at The Summit Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton, Pa. She was the wife of Michael N. Szacska of Mahoning Township. She and her husband Michael were married for 54 years last November 3, 2016. Born in Lehighton, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Joseph M. & Bertha (Shoemaker) Reichard. She was a housewife/homemaker caring to her family and formerly worked for Barson & Bishop Mills in the garment industry. Leah was a member of Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield, Pa. Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Deborah J. Szacska of Mahoning Township, and her boyfriend, Robert F. Taylor of New Ringgold. She was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Reichard in 2014. As per Leah’s wishes, the funeral services and interment will be private.
