obit from the local paper: LeRoy Prideaux Dies In Hospital

LeRoy (Roy) Prideaux, 64, died Sunday in a local hospital.

Born in Dodgeville, Wisc., he moved to Dickinson, N.D. in 1910, attending local schools there before moving to Rio Vista in 1937.

Prideaux was employed at Mare Island in Vallejo until 1952, when he came to Lodi. He owned and operated Frostie's on Hutchins Street until 1961 when he retired.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hulda Prideaux of Lodi, and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Aberson of Dickinson, N.D. and Mrs. Ethel Twist, also of Dickinson, N.D.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, June 12, in the chapel of the Lodi Funeral Home with interment at Cherokee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel after 10 a.m. today.
