  2. Lawrence G. (Larry) Marshall Sr., 63, of East Bowman Lake Road died Friday, Nov. 14, 1997, in his home.

    He was born Oct. 16, 1934, in Duluth, to Harold and Grace ``Dolly (Herold) Marshall. He attended Central High School and worked for the Duluth Missabe and Iron Range Railway and Northern Pacific Railroad.

    He married Charlene Tusken, Aug. 29, 1953, in Duluth. He was also employed with U.S. Steel's Duluth Works, in the open hearth. Larry worked for approximately 20 years as a mechanic in the elevator business, for Otis Elevator and Johnson Eleva
    tor, retiring in the early 1980s from Lagerquist Elevator Co.

    He was a lifetime member of the modern Woodmen Local 2341 and was involved on its board and called bingo at the Woodman Hall. Larry was also active in his Tuesday evening men's card club. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three
    brothers, Lyle, Harold and Gary.

    He is survived by his wife, Charlene; a daughter, Terri (Scott) Fredrickson of Esko; three sons, Larry Jr. (Jan) Marshall of Duluth, Russell (Wendy) Marshall of Duluth and Scott Marshall of River Falls, Wis.; three brothers, Wayne (Phyllis)
    Marshall of Duluth; Ronald Marshall of Duluth; and Dr. Douglas (Carol) Marshall of Princeton, Minn.; a sister, Patricia (John) Harrison of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    Visitation: 11 a.m. until the noon funeral service today in Bell Brothers Chapel. Arrangements by Bell Brothers Funeral Directors, Bell Brothers Chapel, 601 N. 56th Ave. W.
