    Heart Trouble Fatal to Father of Pending Water Bill At His Home.
    L. Dominic Bax, State Representative and head of the undertaking establishment of L. D. Bax & Sons, died at 1:35 o'clock Monday morning at his home 719 East Chestnut Street, after an illness of a few weeks. Mr. Bax was 53 years old.
    Heart trouble caused his death. He was forced by illness to forego part of the present session of the General Assembly recently, although in the midst of a fight to pass the water board bill, designed to create a non-partisan water board here. His health had improved to some extent and Saturday he announced he would go to Frankfort Tuesday to renew the fight for his measure.
    Mr. Bax was born in Louisville April 13, 1872, the son of a funeral director. He was educated in St. John's Parochial School and after that entered the undertaking business. He married Miss Anna O'Conner of Louisvill January 13, 1893. Mr. Bax was active in Democratic politics for years. He was serving his second term as a Representative.
    Besides his widow he leaves three sons, L. Dominic Bax, Jr., and Bernard Bax, who were associated with him, and William J. Bax of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad, and a daughter, Miss Anna Virginia Bax.
    Funeral arrangements have not been made.

    Long Illness Fatal to Louisville Representative
    L. Dominic Bax, state representative and head of the undertaking establishment of L. D. Bax and Sons, died at his home here early this morning following an illness of several weeks. Heart trouble caused his death.
    Mr. Bax, because of illness, had been forced to forego part of the present session of the general assembly, but Saturday had announced that he would go to Frankfurt today to resume his legislative work.
    He is serving his second term as representative and had been active in the Democratic politics for many years.
