Lawrence H. Barry, 90, of Lehighton, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Summit at Blue Mountain Health Systems in Lehighton. He was the husband of Florence G. (Levan) Barry.
Born in Franklin Township, he was a son of the late Raymond L. and Daisy C. (Sensinger) Barry.
Before retiring in 1985, he worked in the maintenance department at Muhlenberg College, Allentown.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lehighton.
He was a member of American Legion, Lehighton Post No. 314, the World War II Last Man's Club, Charter and life member of Franklin Township Lion's Club, and he was the recipient of the 2007 Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.
He served his country in the Navy during World War II.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sheila K. Snyder, and her companion, Roger, of East Weissport; three sons, Keith Barry, and his wife Phyllis, of Mahoning Township, Guy Barry, and his wife, Priscilla of East Penn Township, and Don Barry, and his wife Kay, of Weissport; a brother, Robert Barry of White Haven; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.
