Lavina Knight (Robert 6, Mercy 5, Israel 4, Othniel 3, John 2, Samuel 1), born Dec. 8, 1770, in Cranston, married, Jan. 21, 1789, John Green, son of Job and Mercy (Greene) Greene. John's brother, William, married Lavina's aunt Mercy Knight, and his brother, Stephen, married Sarah Chase. John and Lavina moved in 1795 to Fairfield, N. Y. He died July 11, 1840, she September 30, 1841.

Hammond & Mary Whipple (Hammond), Lavina's father, Robert, was a member of Captain General's Cavaliers in service in expedition to Rhode Island (July and August, 1778).
