NOTE that the Robbins book, pg 119 says that Owen married Laura Schuster; nothing more is in this book about her. But a study of the census records reveals that although Laura's mother Lena had married a Frank Shuster, they had only been married 8 years and it was a second marriage for both of them. The 1910 census record below says that Laura is dau of the wife even though it does not say she is a step-dau of Frank. Note also that Frank would have been only 14 years old when Laura was born. It is more likely that she was born when Lena was 15 years old.

Subsequent to finding the census record I found a marriage record of Owen Gaskill to Laura H. Miller on 23 Sept 1909; the same marriage date given in Oscar Burton Robbins book. This verifies to me that Laura's father and Lena's first husband was a Mr. Miller.
