NIXON - Laura Crunk, 99, of Nixon, died Sunday, July 24, 2005.


She was born March 28, 1906, in Cuero, to the late William Jackson and Frances Jane Dromgoole Burt. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Nixon United Methodist Church.

Survivors: daughter, Laura Ellen Chandler of Smiley; son, Robert J. Crunk III of Nixon; and two grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband, Hamlin Crunk; sisters, Ellen Farmer, Mamie Sutton, and Agnes Appleby; and brothers, Henry Burt, Bill Burt, and Gene Burt.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at Finch Chapel.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, the Rev. Michael Cowey officiating.

Burial will be at Nixon Cemetery. Finch Funeral Chapel, Nixon, 830-582-1521.

Memorials: donor's choice.
