    There is something wrong with the date of birth here. Either the information on the tombstone is incorrect, or the date of birth on the Find a Grave site is incorrect. If Laura was 30y 6m and 2d old on the day of her death, then she was born about September 6, 1971. Also, in the US Census of 1880 she is listed as 9 years old. In the 1870 US Census taken on 25 August, a child named Carrie appears and is listed as 10 months old. Carrie does not appear again in the family's census data.
