THE HUMBLE PETITION OF John G. McCurry & T. T. Stewart respectfully shewith that Laughlin McCurry departed this life intestate on or about the 20th day of July 1882 leaving Personal Property of about the value of Two Hundred Dols Dollars.

Wherefore, your Petitioner prays prays that your Honor will grant them Letters of Administration upon said Estate. And your Petitioner will ever pray, 26 Sept 1882 J. G. McCurry & T. T. Stewart per T.C. Ligau Atty

Letters of Administration for the Estate of Laughlin McCurry. The State of South Carolina In The Probate Court County of Anderson

We do solemnly swear, or affirm,, that Laughlin McCurry deceased, died without any Will, as far as we know or believe, and that I will and truly Administer all and singular the Goods and Chattels, Rights and Credits, of the said Deceased, and pay all his just debts, as far as the same will extend and the law require me, and that we will make a true, exact and perfect inventory of all the said Goods and Chattels, Rights and Credits, and return a just account thereof when thereunto required. So help me God.

Whereas, John G. McCurry & T. T. Stuart made suit to me to grant them Letters of Administration of the Estate of and the effects of Laughlin McCurry decd. THESE ARE, THEREFORE, to cite and admonish all and singular the Kindred and Creditors of the said Laughlin McCurry deceased, that they be and appear before me, in the Court of Probate, to be held at Anderson C. H., S. C., on the 14 day of October next after publication thereof, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, to shew cause, if any they have, why the said Administration should not be granted.

GIVEN under my hand, this 26th day of Sept Anno Domini, 1882. W. W. Humphreys Judge of Probate
