Laucha "Pauline" Holden-Lassiter passed away Thursday morning, August 29, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pauline was born July 10, 1935, in Big Cabin, Oklahoma to Paul and Maude Paulding, the youngest of seven girls, raised in Big Cabin, Oklahoma.
Pauline met and married James Alonzo Holden (Jimmy) in Vinita, Oklahoma on June 5, 1955. Together they had three children - Tony, Jeff, and Kelly. Pauline has six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two more great-grandchildren on the way.
Pauline's husband, Jimmy, passed away in 1975. Pauline met and married Jack Lassiter in 1985. Pauline and Jack were happily married until 1989 when Jack passed away.
Pauline always followed and cheered for her beloved Oklahoma Sooners. Be it football, basketball, softball - she was always attending or watching as many games as she could find, even if they were bootleg broadcasts.
Pauline was a talented vocalist until her later years, a gift that was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She was in demand for weddings and funerals in and around the Big Cabin area in her younger years.
Pauline worked for many years at Skelly/Getty/Texaco/Chevron in downtown Tulsa as an offset printer, CAD/CAM modeler and later as the front desk receptionist for the Getty building. As an outgoing person, she acquired many friends within the workplace. She was also a member of the Southern Hills Baptist Church since 1998, volunteering in the office and at weeknight functions.
Family and friends were Pauline's greatest joys - phone calls, lunches, dinners, visits always brought a smile to her face. These people were the sustaining forces in her life and carried her through the tough times. She always remembered how they helped her. Pauline touched the lives of many and she will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy, her second husband Jack, father Paul and mother Maude and sisters (Della, Stella, Thelma, Helen, Martha, and Faye)
Pauline leaves behind sons Tony (wife Phyllis), Jeff, (wife Kim), daughter Kelly (husband Andy). Grandchildren Pat, Brittany (husband Josh), Taylor (husband Logan), Lara (husband Martin), Jared and Eli. Great-grandchildren Kylie, Emma, Zaria, and Cora.
