Deres eldre bror Ludolf dro over i april 1888, søsteren (Berte) Gurine Gundersdatter har reist over i mai 1888.

Lars dro mulig videre til Santa Barbara i California, se bilder.

Lars changed his name to Louis when settling in Madison.

He married Sena in ab. 1898 (listed as married two years in teh 1900 census), and they had six children, three sons and three daughters.

In the 1900 census Louis is listed as owning his home free of mortgage. He and Sena have no children yet.

By 1920 their six children are ages 18 to 3. Naturalization is listed as 1895 for both Louis and Sena.
