Lars Lundquist came to this country when he was about 20 years old. After becoming established in his adopted country, Mr. Lundquist returned to Sweden and brought his parents here. He settled in the Brantford community near Clifton, KS. He made his living off the land. Lars changed his name to Lundquist when he came to America.

    L. E. Lundquist of Brantford, who had been in a Concordia hospital for six weeks or more, died Tuesday at the age of 79 years.
    He was born in Sweden and came to this country, locating near Brantford, when about 20 years of age. After becoming established in his adopted county, Mr. Lundquist returned to Sweden and brought his parents here. He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Gunner Carlson; four sons, Ernest, Carl, Elmer and Rudolph, and many other relatives.
    Mr. Lundquist was a very fine citizen and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Funeral services will beheld in the home at 1:30 and at the Mission Church at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
