White Oak - Larry V. Reitz, 76, of White Oak, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at his residence. Born Feb. 10, 1936, in Boston, he was the son of the late Peter and Violet (Laughner) Reitz and the husband of Irene (Fleming) Reitz, of White Oak. Larry was a retired mechanic from the former Bob Shaw Sunoco, in Duquesne, and he also painted with his son, Raymond, and son-in-law, Daniel. He was a member and an usher of Assembly of God Church, in Glassport. He loved to visit Wildwood, N.J., with his family. In addition to his loving wife, Irene, Larry is survived by children, Raymond Reitz, of Boston, Pa., Cindy Palmer, of Plum, Karen Penn, of White Oak, Irene "Daniel" Brieck, of Elizabeth, and Larry V. Reitz Jr., of Arnold; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Judi Nelson, of White Oak; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Ralph, Peter and Ronald; and a sister, Patricia Stinebaugh. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at WILLIG FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment with military honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
