In 1790 Larkin Shepard was living in Ash Co North Carolina. In 1800 he was living in Laurens Co South Carolina. In 1810 he was living in Ash Co North Carolina and in 1820 he was living in Wilks Co North Carolina. A Widow's application for a soldier's pension for the War of 1812 was filed on Larkin Shepard #WO13566. Larkin Shepard served in Captian Ambros Carlton's company militia of North Carolina. There's no hard evidence that Larkin Shepard is my John Shepard's father but it is a possibility.
