[1] His parents were Leander Summay (1849-1915) and Elizabeth Duncan (1859-1882) [1] In 1910 He lived in Aarons Run, Montgomery, Kentucky with his wife, children and his father. [1] He passed away on 1 Aug 1957 in Montgomery County, Kentucky. [2] He was laid to rest in Machpelah Cemetery in Mount Sterling, Montgomery County, Kentucky, USA. Plot: South Side - Section 6. [3]

Landen W. Summay

MT. STERLING, Aug. 1-Landen W. Summay, 76, farmer, died at 10 a.m. today at his home on the Cecil Road. He was a member of the Somerset Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mamie Shelton Summay; 

three daughters; Mrs. R. B. Caywood, Mrs. L. M. Skaggs,

both of Mt. Sterling, and Mrs. Cossie Quillen, Whitesburg: three sons, D. R. Sum may, North Middletown; Wells Summay, Montgomery County, and Stanton Summay, Millersburg, and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be con ducted at 3 p.m. (CDT) Friday at the Eastin-Richey Funeral Home by the Rev. Danny Joe Howard and the Rev. Proctor Riggins.

Burial will be in the Machpelah Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carl Hovermale, Tandy Henry, Arthur Hedges, Shirley Turner, Bedford Henry and Clarence Wilson.
