Thomas age 87 died Friday, May 12, 2006 at home. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing. Mr. Thomas was born in Evanville, Pa. and moved to New Jersey with his family in 1921. He moved to Orlando when he retired in 1984. Mr. Thomas is a veteran of the Army Air Corp and served in WWII. He was a machinist with Mack Trucks and J.R. Smith in NJ. Mr Thomas is predeceased by his parents, 5 brothers and sisters and a grandson, Joseph Ralston, Jr. last month. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 57 years, Elmira (Vader) and the following children: June (Buck) Williams of Huntingdon, Pa., Sharon (John) Parisi of Altamonte Springs, Janet (Len) Sapone of Apopka, Wayne Thomas of Apopka and Art Thomas and his fiancé, Karen Helton of Orlando, and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Thomas of Greenacres, Fl. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Pine Hills on Thursday, May 18 with the Rev. Steve Nolin presiding. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl. On Wednesday, May 31.
