OBITUARY: The Manchester Press, Manchester, Delaware Co., IA, Mar. 17, 1932: "Lafe Knight Dies at Edgewood" "EDGEWOOD, March 17, 1932 - Lafe Knight died at his home three miles northwest of Edgewood on Monday morning as a result of quick pneumonia. He was born in Clayton county 75 years ago and has lived here nearly all of that time with the exception of a few years, when his parents moved to Loup City, Neb. His widow, Jennie Bedient Knight, and four children survive, also a number of brothers and sisters. The children are: Mrs. Blanche Rowe of Olwein; Emory of Minneapolis; Olin and Fred at home. The brothers and sisters are as follows: Charles of Edgewood; Mrs. Jennie True of Nebraska; Mrs. Jessie McDonald of Loup City, Neb.; Albert of Edgewood; Mrs. Minnie Benscotter, who died a few years ago; Mrs. Kate Waldo of Manchester; and Delmar of Edgewood. Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday at 1:30, and burial made in Strawberry Point cemetery."
